the bush arrives - part 1 - that's right.. and believe it or not, i got the best picture ever of air force one from my apartment. sweet, more on that later. i was hoping his plane would arrive in the daytime, but it was already dark by the time his plane touched down. i think it was 8:53pm or so. he spoke to a crowd and met some people, then his motorcade drove downtown to the grand america, where he'll be all night. i drove downtown a bit around 7:30 or so and took a few pictures of the hotel. as you can imagine, security is pretty tight. i heard air force one was leaving to hill air force for the night, but i also heard on the news it's staying there. i'll try to take a better picture of it tomorrow. click here for the entire the bush arrives gallery. enjoy the pictures, see the favorites below..

my best picture ever of air force one, (just kidding). the streak of light just to the left of the telephone pole is air force one landing in salt lake. i couldn't hold the camera straight, and i wish it was daytime and i had a tripod with me.
