Still no new updates. I wanted to come post something in the blog here since it's been a few days since I have. Tommorrow sucks because I have to go back to work, but a plus side is I have Thursday and Friday off work. I might go in Thursday, but chances for a Friday appearance are very slim.

Go look at old pictures or something. There's lots of pictures that I took on my trip to Levi's funeral. So long.

Levi, I'm really gonna miss you man. I don't think reality of what happened set in for anybody until we got there today to see you. It was really hard seeing you lying there. We cried, but it was good we all cried together. I saw people I haven't seen for a few years, and they brought back a lot of very good memories. I felt like you were with us the whole time, but it was upsetting to not have you there in life.

You would be proud of your funeral. From what I heard, there was about 800 people, which is higher than the population of your town, 707. It was nice we all came up to Idaho, but would have been nicer if we could have seen you man. I met your parents for the first time. I understand how they say you look like your Dad. I started crying looking at you, your Mom came up to me and I told her I lived with you. My brother came and said he was my brother, and all three of us hugged. I'll never forget that Levi.

You'd also be proud of our remembrance in the only King Size Bed/Smoking room of the hotel. That was quite a time, we've got some good pictures to remember it with, which you'll also be in soon.

We went out to the crash site where you left us at. One question for you man, what the hell were you doing clear in the hell out there? Nobody knows what happened except you guys, guess we'll have to see if we find out more. I wish I could turn back time and give you call, see what's up. I'll miss being able to talk to you. You always made me happy, and I will always be grateful of the year and a half we shared in the basement of our old Orem house.

I am leaving man. You'll always be a brother to me and I will never forget all of the valuable life lessons you taught me while you were around. I love you man, rest in peace my friend. I'll come visit sometime.

We're going to Levi's funeral tomorrow after I get off work. Hopefully I can get off not too late, and we can get up there in time to be with everyone on Tuesday night. I got his obituary off the internet so I have it now online. Levi's Obituary is located there. I'll miss him. The more I think about it, the more I wish I could go back and live in Orem again. I'll miss those times. I found an article saying how it happened, but you had to pay for it. Send me an email and I will email you a copy of it.

I put up all my pictures of Levi as well. They are here. You'll need a password, because they are all up there. Send me an email, I'll get it where to my website you mail me at.

I'll take the camera and take some pictures. For anyone interested, Me, Chris and Rob are all going up in Rob's car. Chris is working everything out as far as where we are all staying. It will be nice to see everyone from the days of the house in Orem. That's it for now.

Levi.. This one's for you dawg. I loved you like a brother, and now your not here with us anymore. I found out about the car accident you were in on Saturday night right around the time my brother's birthday party was starting. Chris and Rob were both there with me, and we all knew you well. Nothing really ever set in until now, when everyone is gone and I am here writing this. I haven't shed a tear until I sit down now to write about the good times that I had with you. I will always remember you man. We shared the basement of the boy house in Orem for a long time.

Your funeral is on Wednesday in Idaho. I don't know any of the details about what happened, but heard that your gone. It's pretty hard for me to write this. All of my emotions from the past day are coming out now.

I will miss you Levi. I'm not going to write any more in here about you, but I am putting my favorite picture up of you. If I don't get to your funeral, rest in peace my friend. I love you Levi, I am sad to not have you in this life anymore.

This will probably be the last time that I update slakisdotcom for a while. I am moving out of my downtown apartment and into a house in dangerous Rose Park tomorrow, and won't have internet until Monday when Comcast comes. I uploaded two parts of images from Wednesday. They include pictures of the house my brother bought and we're leaving the apartment for. You can find Part 1 here, and also Part 2 here.

Part 1 is mostly pictures I took from work and lunch with J-mart, Capital D, and Fievel Goes West, and Capital D's x girlfriend who got us 50% off, which was sweet. Part 2 is pictures from the house that I will be leaving to.

This is all. I am leaving now, until at least Monday. So long.

I'm going to be moving out of downtown and into a house in Rose Park. My brother is buying it, so we are moving out of this apartment. I took a few pictures of us moving out, and cleaning some shit up, you can see them in the new crap section, or just click here.

We are meeting up with J-Mart today for lunch and I have my camera, so we should have some more pictures to put up for the site. I better get back to work, since that is where I am.

today i went to mcdonald's with big D who just returned from north caronlina after 5 no call no shows last week.. he spent time vacationing with the hurricane, playing around in the strong winds, sounds like fun to me i guess.

soft taco shaun requested that we return from mcdonalds with a cheeseburger for him to eat so he doesn't have to take a lunch break. dylan ordered 3 with the intention of eating 2, but wanted the 3rd and decided to tell soft taco shaun that mcdonalds ran out of cheese. as we finished our meals, we realized that since he did secure the cheeseburger with a $1 deposit, we should return with a cheeseburger for him.

when we left for mcdonalds, soft taco shaun requested that we get him the cheeseburger with no vegetables on it. since that was requested, we ordered the cheeseburger with extra onions and pickles, rejecting his request to exclude them from the order.

the double cheeseburger was set on the counter, and big d proceeded to pick it up. as he did, he noticed the extra heavy weight inside the cheeseburger, which must have been from all of the extra onions and pickles. we went out the restaurant, got in my jetta, and drove back to work.

we thought of what would be really, really funny. big d decided to take a bite out of one of the patties, and stuff that gap in meat with the extra onions and pickles that were included with the order. i am not sure if the bite was taken, but the pickles and onions were rounded up sanitarily and then moved to the bottom of the burger, where no vegetables are usually placed. we re-wrapped the patty, replaced the missing ketchup with some from the crocodile grill, then proceeded upstairs and returned to our workstations, dropping off the cheeseburder to soft taco shaun along the way.

he ate the burger, and notices nothing out of the ordinary that would make him suspect anything was done to the burger itself. the moral of this story, as it was the same in the soft taco story, do not order food from other people who are eating places. boredom on the ride home will set in, and the cheeseburger will no longer be normal.

this is all for now, happy eating.

Today starts my last week living downtown. I will be moving to a semi-safe area of Rose Park. There are a few pictures of the house available in today's gallery, as well as a few others that were taken while being out and about. We will not have a hot tub, but maybe we can find another way to get one. The pics are in the gallery, which is also linked here.

Old pictures from Mark's bbq on July 18 available if you scroll up. The only person visible in any photo is Frizbay, but at least 7-8 other people were also in attendance. As we were eating, we noticed smoke coming from the bbq and remembered it was still on, most everything inside was brunt. There were flames, but we didn't have the camera ready fast enough. Enjoy.

I have decided to star the "the all-star photo database page gallery album" for the pictures that I take which are above and beyond that of a normal picture. These pictures are the cream of the crop, the best of the best, the creme de la creme, you know what I mean. If you have any pictures that you feel are necessary to be added to the database, please send me an email and they will be added.

J-Mart, when is lunch? Your wife isn't out of town very much so this is a great time to do what we can. Get off your damn Mac and get out to BFWV and come to lunch with us.

many people have asked me to add this to the slakisdotcom, however, i still feel the police encounter from the previous post is still better.

today james came into work today wearing velcro shoes. we immediately started making fun of him for it, but he kept coming back with the claim that they are comfortable.. i responded to that by saying, "james, the 80's called, they want their velcro shoes back."

the moral of this story, if you wear velcro shoes to work, you will get made fun of, period, whether they are comfortable or not.

tonight there was another police encounter across the street from my house.. i was at my computer and looked out the window and saw up to 8 police cars sitting around the street, with their lights off and empty. as i continued to watch the road with my eyes to find out what was going on, i saw police running around the street frantically with their flashlights, trying to find their suspect who must have run away from them.

the first thing that came to my mind was to get the police radio and camera. the second thing that came to my mind was the fact that all my batteries were in my backpack, parked on the street, surrounded by police cars. i put on my shoes and headed for the door, hoping to catch some police activity up close and in person.

i made my way down the front stairs of my apartment building with my keys in hand. when i got down to the first floor and proceeded to open it and emerge into the outside world, a salt lake city police officer came running at me, urging me to get back inside my house. i argued with the officer for several minutes, informing him over and over that i needed the batteries that were in the jeep, parked in the middle of the street. the officer insisted for my own personal safety as well as his and many others that i remain inside my house. again, i told him of the desire i had to document and take pictures of the entire situation.

i am lying about that last paragraph. the officers told me nothing unfortunately and i just got my backpack and batteries and went on my way. i got a few pictures, but they kind of suck because it was very dark and had to expose for a long time.

the moral of this story, you can say you had an encounter with the police and make up a big story about it, but in the end, it's still a lie.. enjoy, -slakisdotcom

So today I was pretty bored, watching TV with my brother. It came on TV that there was a press conference at 2:00. I figured it would be a good opportunity for random pictures, so I took some. The press conference turned out to be pretty boring.

I have to go back to work tommorrow. It's been a nice weekend, but it will be nice to be getting paid again. I checked everyone's blog today and it looked like they had all been updated recently, except for mine that is. Well, this is all for the update. If anyone is down for lunch tomorrow (Monday), please inquire.

See the random pictures, available in the new crap section of this website.
