sorry for the lack of updates, here's a summary on what to look for here.
jazz autograph team party- i went to the delta center with my dad tonight for a jazz team party, for a few season ticket holders. it wasn't leapin leaners (a jazz charity event) and they had to go to that after we were done with us. see the pics at jazzcrap.com. i got to take a few good pictures with players, and have a summary there.
going to orem saturday- i went to orem with some of my family to go out to dinner with my grandparents, who still live there. i picked up my buddy jon who i have known since i was 4, and he came with us. i was standing in their living room and noticed a horse in their backyard. i took some pictures of the findings and the trip, found when you click this link.
my sisters birthday- she got a dale earnhardt jr cardboard standee lifesize thing from my brother, who works for budweiser. i took a few pictures of them putting it together, found at this link here.
working on tuesday- i worked on tuesday and had the camera. my pictures are here.
jazz beat the lakers- tonight the jazz beat the lakers, which is always fun. i am tired so i am going to bed, i have to be to work on time in the morning. please see the usual, jazzcrap.com. the jazz bear came up to my seat and i took a picture with him. he has been up by me a few times, but this was the first time he stopped when i held up my hand for a five. the bear is cool. it was fun.
lunch with sloan at delta center- i just got back from lunch at the delta center with sloan. it was fun, see pictures at jazzcrap.com.
here's my post from the message boards. so i just got back from having lunch at the Delta Center with Jerry Sloan. Snyder was also there, but didn't speak at all. i guess once a month they arrange to have a group of season ticket holders to have lunch with the coach. there was probably 50-60 people there, sloan talked and then answered a few questions. food was ok too..
it was fun, a really good time.. i sat at a table with two guys, a jazz ticket sales rep, and the jazz director of media relations, i guess her name is cindy.. kirk snyder sat at the table next to us, pretty close to us still.
jerry first came up to the podium and started off by saying "i just don't know what to say. we've had an outstanding season," prompting laughter from the crowd. "it's been a lot of fun." he said he was thankful he still has a job considering all of the coaches who have been recently fired, especially with the 40+ loss season. he was happy to be part of the organization..
someone asked him if there was a specific player in the draft the jazz were looking at, he says he doesn't really have time to watch college ball, but everyone knows about the big man up at utah. he was the only one mentioned specifically..
about having a sloan statue next to stockton and malones - jerry says he really isn't a "statue person" so he doesn't mind not having one.. that was funny, we were all laughing.
asking about how the jazz give up so many 3's and defense just isn't working against the long ball - he says to be a playoff team, you can't give up easy baskets. he'd rather have space for the 3 than give up easy layups every time down the court.
shot clock violations - jerry said he'd rather have a shot clock violation than a wild shot, which could turn into a fast break for the other team. he doesn't like making his players run 94 feet back to the other side to play defense..
about boozer and memo's acquisition - he says in their old teams, they were support players. this year, they have had a bigger role and they will fit into the roll eventually. he says he hopes they will work in the offseason and come back at the beginning of next season, in shape and ready to go.
about carlos arroyo's trade to detroit, basically for nothing - he says when we started off so strong with mcleod in the lineup, arroyo came back and we started losing, then he sprained his ankle and missed 10 games.. he talked about how he always likes to have 3 point guards on the roster, in case one gets sick they still have enough to go around. he didn't speculate much other than that.
about when boozer will be back - he says boozer had a cast removed and is now in a boot for about 2 weeks, says about another week in the boot or so.. he says he looked at boozers x-rays, he says it doesn't look good and he isn't even a doctor. he said the injury is minor, he's not sure if surgery is necessary or not, but i heard him mention that.
about who calls the plays, the point guard or the coach - he says even in the days of stockton, he was always the one calling all of the plays. stock used to say he was busy worrying about running the show, getting players to go where they need to, he didn't want to also have the burden of playcalling as well, so sloan called the plays. he says the same system has been going on this year as well.
it was fun to be there. when we left, we got hats that snyder signed for us as we walked out. i am working on some pictures now.
weekend update summary- today's update is from pictures from over the weekend. i worked on friday, worked again on saturday, and then on sunday, just went to the library with my parents and little brother. i had the camera with me almost all weekend and took a lot of random pictures. enjoy.
court crap scanned in- for some reason, i wanted to scan in all my old court crap from years ago and put it all on my website. along with my recent speeding ticket i got on my way to work, it goes well as an update to the site
(1) i got an alcohol ticket after my parents moved out in 2000. this is my court paper (2) i was pulled over in provo in june 2000 and had a pipe on me, that had been used once. this is my court paper from that episode (3) this is the paper i got after i paid off my warrant, after i missed and slept through court (4) this is a letter i got telling me my liscense was suspended. note that date says november, license was suspended in september when i had court. nobody ever told me. (5) this is the speeding ticket i got last week. i left work early today to go pay it.
random pictures from work- that is the first update of the day. we went to del taco, for the first time in a while. i went with adam and becca. it was fun, and i guess it was good too. as adam was eating his quesadilla, he noticed a hair inside it. he was able to pick up the quesadilla by the hair, as seen in this picture. we left after that. the pictures are here.

update summary- today's update just contains pictures from work today and going out to lunch. we went to the la frontero, but it's just not the same without everyone that used to go. work will be different now without everyone, it's pretty damn boring actually. i need a new job sometime. find the update here at this link. enjoy.
gigantic slakis/blog update- today's update includes 3 different sections
the giant old coworker photo database- as i have been working with less and less people every day, i decided to post a giant photo database of pictures that i have taken at work. it includes most of my favorite old coworkers, who now are mostly gone. only a few noted with *'s are still there.
saturday morning coffee- i went to get coffee with my parents and their friends at a bakery by the condo on saturday morning.
eating pizza at chris' house- we went to chris' house and ate some pizza for a little while. i took the camera there too.
an update on the situation- i just got back from lunch to McD's with dave. it was pretty damn boring, as nobody cool works here anymore, and becca is gone in vegas. as you can see, i haven't done many updates except for jazz crap lately. this might be related to the fact work is so damn boring now. all my favorite former co-workers are now gone, and work is down to me, dave, and becca. no more fievel goes west, no more nashville, j-mart, even soft taco shawn moved on a while ago and now runs ops.
