working holidays sucks- yeah, i working holidays is for the birds. it sucks, but i did it. i took my camera to work today because i haven't had an update since before the cruise. the pics are here at this link. they include pics of working on memorial day, which is crap, but who cares i guess.

day 1 - flight to miami, via atalanta - 05/07/05

day 2 - boarded cruise ship - 05/08/05.
we boarded our cruise ship, royal caribbean's explorer of the seas, on day 2, 5-8-05, sunday. they let my little sister drink (19), as long as my mom signed this waiver on check in. she was quick to do it, but my little brother (16) was also able to easily drink. here is a picture of me and the view of miami, from the port in our stateroom. me and my sister walked around for a little while, looked for a minute on deck 12. i decided to take both cameras to the life jacket drill. me and my sister watch from our stateroom as we leave the port in miami. here's a view on deck 4, with me, sister and brother. the pool at night almost empty can be seen here, and here also. see the rest of the pictures of the gallery here.

day 3 - at sea - 05/09/05.
this day we spent the day at sea going from miami to belize. here is a view from my breakfast seat. we got tuxedos for the formal dinner tonight, here i am being measured. we sat at the lounge on 14 for a few minutes, seen seen here. the tv told us where we were and how fast we were going. it was on channel 32. here i am in my tuxedo and comfortable shoes. our assistant waiter Adrian, and our head waiter Erkan.. the rest of the pictures are here.

day 4 - belize - 05/10/05
my dad took camera half of the day. some of his pictures can be found in the main day 4 gallery. i got the camera back later in the night. we went to johnny rockets and then found a big giant ice chunk with a hole in it! weird.

day 5 - costa maya, mexico - 05/11/05
we had to wait for another ship to dock before we could leave. the pier was closed to people. in costa maya, we just went to a few stores. we found very strange mexican things like mexican weed pipes, old mexican vanilla, weird shaped corona bottles, and dirty mexican shot glasses. the floor in the elevator on the boat told us it was wednesday. they had nasty, real pig on the buffet after we left on the boat. nasty. rest of pictures are here.

day 6 - cozumel, mexico - 05/12/05
the views from the boat were good today, see them in the main galleries. my favorite picture is the mexican superflex trader, an old, rusted mexican boat, comes in to the pier. it was loud and funny. hahaha. me and my sister went parasailing and the sea was rough. other people started throwing up all over. i normally don't, but when other people do, i have problems. i didn't have the camera, which is probably a good thing. see the main day 6 gallery.

day 7 - grand cayman - 05/13/05
we went to grand cayman on day 7, which was my favorite. i took a helicopter tour with my little brother, seen in the main gallery. here i am with the helicopter. there are lots of pictures from the helicopter, like of the difference of color in the ocean depth and pictures of the cruise ship. see the main day 7 gallery for all the pictures.

day 8 - day at sea again, back to miami - 05/14/05
this day we spent the whole day at sea. it was kind of boring because i knew the trip would be over after this day. see main gallery for day 8 here. i sat with this view for breakfast.

we flew home on sunday and got home late sunday night. i didn't even get a picture of the american airlines 777 i flew mia-dfw on, my first 777 experience. see the main day 9 gallery

internet is expensive- this will be the only update until i am back home late sunday night. internet is FIFTY CENTS PER MINUTE so i am going to try to make this quick.

today we spent the whole day at sea and make it to Belize in the morning. i am sitting right now on Deck 8 in the Royal Caribbean Online section of the boat.

first cruise vacation update- this is the first update of my vacation. i am sitting on the balcony of my hotel room on the 20th floor of the Hyatt Regency Downtown Miami, overlooking downtown.. it's nice and warm here.. i am connected via somebody else's wireless network that i found and was able to connect to..

cruise vacation video #1- our flight to miami was pretty uneventful. from SLC-ATL, my entire family sat in different parts of the airplane, as our seats were not reserved until we checked in, since we booked through cruise agency.. i ended up having to sit next to some fat stinky guy who would not shut up the entire plane flight. the only time he wasn't talking was when i had my eyes closed or had my headphones on. he got up to go to the bathroom and i started making a video clip, it turned out pretty well. see it at this link here. the big fat guy comes back at the end.

i was eating my onboard meal during our flight. i ate before we left so i was not really hungry. the box contained a few crackers, some cheese dip, and some raisins. i ate one cracker and half of another, then put it all back in the box as i didn't want it anymore. before i ate, i spit my gum out into the box.

the stewardess came over to take the trash. i was handing my box over to the stewardess and the guy said, "hold on, i'll finish that for ya." he took my box and opened it up. i warned him that my chewed gum was in there, he said, "no problem, i'll just eat around it." it was nasty. he took the cracker that i had eaten half of, put cheese on it, then ate it himself. i could not believe he ate my garbage.

that's all for tonight. i board the cruise ship in the morning, we will have to see if i can update again. so long bitches.

cruise updates message- so here's the deal bitches, i leave in the morning at 8:30 to go on my cruise. we fly to atlanta, then miami, and board the ship on sunday morning. if i have unlimited internet from my laptop on the ship for a nominal fee, there will be frequent updates and information posted. if it's by the minute, there probably won't be any updates other than the occaisional blog. i won't know more until sunday when i board the ships, but could even have atlanta and miami crap on saturday night. just check back then.

last work day before cruise- i took my camera to work today to take pictures of my last work day before the cruise. the day dragged on very long but it was nice to finally get out of there. the pics can be found at this link. they are good pictures.
